Breaking news this morning. There is an active manhunt going on in the area between West 21st to 26th streets and from Greengarden to Brown Avenues (area north of Topps Grocery market). Erie Blogger Scott McCausland has been ordered by the United States Government to switch to Windows from Ubuntu, a free Debian derived Linux-based operating system. Radnor Property Group and Fourth River Development were picked as the development team for the first phase of the downtown Erie redevelopment plan. The city is taking away a $300,000 state for the proposed grocery store at 19th and Parade Streets. The grant must be used by June. Erie Insurance (Nasdaq: ERIE) announced financial results for the third quarter 2006. Net income was $52.8 million for the third quarter of 2006 compared to $53.0 million at September 30, 2005. Matthew Perez-Jefferson entered a plea of guilty to third degree murder in the Noverber shooting of Paul Martinson outside the Antigua Blue Tavern. The sentencing is scheduled for May.
