Erie Renewable Energy has submitted a new emissions plan to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Industrial employment in Pennsylvania dropped 1.2% over the last year according to the 2009 Pennsylvania Manufacturers Register published annually by Manufacturers’ News, Inc. Pennsylvania lost 10,684 industrial jobs from May 2007 to May 2008, which continues the decline of industrial jobs since 2001. Erie School District Superintendent James Barker had his contract extended for 5 years by the Erie School Board. He`ll get a 3 percent salary increase each year plus cost of living adjustments.
