The estate of Brittany Legler is suing the Erie County Office of Children and Youth alleging that actions and inactions by the agency contributed to her death. They’ve got a good case. The City of Erie completed the layoffs of 15 police officers on Friday. The layoffs of 12 firefighters has been delayed until next Friday. The City faces a budget deficit of $7-10 million for 2006.
