The state budget woes are affecting everyone, including the PA Historical and Museum Commission. They are considering closing 6 historic sites and/or museums, including the Flagship Niagara here in Erie. The ship would stop sailing, but remain as a museum. As well intentioned as the smoking ban in Erie Councty is, County Solicitor Thomas Talarico advised the Erie County Council that it was illegal.
