Steris Manufacturing Operations Moving to Mexico


Steris, a maker of sterilization equipment, said Monday it is moving its Erie, Pa, manufacturing operations to Mexico in a cost cutting move that will affect 450 workers. The non-manufacturing operations will continue in Erie. Steris acquired American Sterilizer Company (Amsco) in May of 1996.
